I couldn't believe the lack of care in the dining area. also, noise from other rooms made it feel like I was living in a community dorm. admittedly, I had hoped for a little room upgrade or complimentary treat since I was expecting much better treatment, but just couldn't find it here.

The breakfast area was a disaster at times, with tables left dirty and unkempt, leaving guests to pick up the slack. there was too much noise from neighboring rooms, which could be a hassle for light sleepers. The bathroom layout was awkward, especially with a towel radiator installed right in front of the toilet—who thought that was a good idea?

It was just a solid selection for a mini-vacation in Caen with fantastic value for money. The cleanliness of the newly refurbished room really impressed me, especially the comfortable mattress. Check for any updates on the pool before your visit.
